No two bridges are alike. In densely populated areas there is often a need for a noise-reducing solution while splash guards or falling protection may be preferable in other circumstances. Railway bridges generally require extra stable structural solutions to withstand vibrations and wind pressure from passing trains. The Hammerglass BRIDGE and GROUND noise attenuation systems meet the tough requirements for stability and safety for mounting along railways. High-performance nanotechnology surface treatment helps prevent dirt from exhaust fumes, oil, and asphalt from adhering as easily as on regular glass. NOISE BARRIERS FOR BRIDGES AT ROADS AND RAILWAYS
Hammerglass BRIDGE and Hammerglass GROUND are complete CE-marked noise barrier systems with proven solutions for fixing steel and Hammerglass. The BRIDGE system is anchored in the bridge posts or on the outside of the bridge edge girder, depending on the bridge design, while the GROUND system is designed for mounting on ground or on walls, using bolt groups.

SPLASH GUARD AND NOISE BARRIER COMBINED
Our robust splash guard has been developed for viaducts/junctions with carriageways on several levels. The angled post system is based on the same principle as our electrical protective shields. The structure is usually bolted to the side of the bridge edge girder, but for bridge renovation or in newbuild projects, the post system can also be mounted with a base plate beneath the balustrade upright.

RAILINGS AND FALL PROTECTION FOR PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE BRIDGES
Replacing shattered glass on pedestrian and cycle bridges over roads and railways can be both complicated and costly, especially if it disrupts road or rail traffic. With Hammerglass, glass breakage and complicated glass replacements are avoided.
Hammerglass panels can be delivered clear, opal, colored, or printed – and can be equipped with LED lighting. The design of posts and fittings is tailored to ensure safe installation of our shatterproof glass solutions. The installation is done with steel profiles, Fixpoint, project-specific solutions, or in existing structures.
Graffiti, marker tags, or other dirt can be removed from the nanocoated surface using most known cleaning agents without damaging the Hammerglass panels
LIFTING MINIMISES THE TRAIN-FREE TIME
Most often entire building projects are to be carried through while traffic continues to roll at full steam along the tracks. Under these circumstances it is necessary for most of the structures to be capable of being fully assembled close to the track area and then lifted into position, to minimise the time the roadway or track area needs to be closed.
All panes are to be measured and produced individually after the bridge’s steel structure has been assembled. Even if the final construction fails to correspond 100% to the drawing, installation will still run smoothly. The panes are mounted in situ while the steel skeleton is on the ground, and then the entire structure is lifted into place. Even if the structures are stable, this type of lift would be almost impossible with ordinary glass, as movements in the overall structure would result in glass breakage.

COLOUR AND LIGHTING
